One of Those Days

Toddler playgroup at my house + nine hours straight of friends over + new sugar (i.e. fun) free diet + leaking fridge + three straight hours of carpool + nonstop allergies + highly disorganized house + "Oops, I forgot my big project that's due tomorrow" said at 9pm + I'm getting a root canal tomorrow morning=

grouchy.

And that is why I yelled both before and after family prayer tonight. Can this confessional count as my blanket apology?

Anyone watch "The Middle" last night? If not, Hulu it. Because no matter how blah things seem right now, I KNOW my Mother's Day this Sunday won't be worse than hers. Michael rocks the holidays--if he forgives me that is. If not, I just may indulge myself. As Patricia Heaton teaches us, the real beauty of Mother's Day is the day after, when you give yourself whatever it is you wanted that you didn't get the day before with your mercy on me account. Can we say "Chinaman massage" coming my way?

  1. Love your blog! You are such a talented writer. Hope my granddaughters weren't giving you a bad time at playgroup. Ha!
