The kids got an extended Memorial Day weekend holiday, with last Friday and this Tuesday off as well as Monday, due to extra "furlough days" issued by the school board. So we've been laying out and sleeping in at Catalina Island and have had a blast.
Today, an out of towner asked Gavin if he would have to go back to school tomorrow (Tuesday). And his oh-so-seven-year-old reply?
"Nope. Budget cuts."
