Whose Kid is This?

We went for a family hike today on Catalina Island, and near the end of the grand uphill climb, everyone (including me) wanted "Daddy" to carry them.

So boys being boys, Blake diverted himself by picking up pebbles and throwing them off the cliff. Until we heard a loud ping.

We looked down and watched Blake's pebble bounce along the terra cotta roof of a bathhouse and down to the ground. Cripes.

A few minutes later, a man from below called up to us, "Did you see anyone throw a

rock?"

Because Michael is the "fun parent", because Michael probably taught Blake how to throw rocks, because Michael is also a BOY, I decided to let him handle this one. I watched as he struggled to find the least indicting yet still slightly honest reply,

"I...don't....think so?"

Did that satisfy the man?

I...hope so?
