Sin City proves to be a bad place for a pit stop

Las Vegas is different things to different people: a commune for Elvis impersonators, a last hurrah for a tiara-clad bachelorette party, or the one place you can feasibly wake up in a closet with a tiger, a baby, and a fresh tattoo with no idea how the heck you got there. (And then make a bazillion dollars franchising your follies.)
For us, Vegas is the halfway point along several annual family road trips with the kids; and as a pit stop, has served as a vibrant training ground in human behavior.
