For families looking for a little cinematic adventure beyond the new release of Disney’s Japanime The Secret World of Arrietty this holiday weekend, two kid-crowd pleasers are still buzzing along quite nicely at the box office.
Both are well worth the ticket for kids aged 6 and up.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, sequel to Disney’s 2008 hit Journey to the Center of the Earth, follows wanderlust Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson), now a well versed “Vernian,” on a new quest to find Jules Verne’s “Mysterious Island.”
